My 2020 Goals

Hello, everyone! I’m not usually one to make New Years’ Resolutions, however, I do like to set myself goals for the year ahead. 2019 was such a great year – possibly my best year yet. I thought it would be a good idea to write some goals for 2020 in the hope that this year will be just as good.

Worry less

I do have a terrible habit of overthinking and worrying about anything and everything. I know it’s not good and in most cases, I can’t change the situation. I’m going to try harder to not worry as much, especially about things that don’t matter too much.

Become Fitter

I would like to lose some weight and tone up. I’ve been using the Shreddy guide for the past few weeks and it is great for those who aren’t too sure how to use weights and machines in the gym. It has definitely made me feel more comfortable and confident in the gym so I would highly recommend – it’s £10 a month and you can choose whether you want to use the ‘at gym’ guide or ‘at home’ so you can workout wherever is best for you.

Get a new job

I’ve been at my current job for almost a year, which if I am being truthful, is longer than I had hoped. I currently work as a customer representative in insurance which is just a job to pay the bills. I’m hoping to find a job soon where I can use the skills I learnt from my degree. I would especially like to go into Digital Marketing so I’m going to spend a lot of time applying for jobs over the next few months.

Move out

I hope to move out with my boyfriend, David. We’re hoping to rent somewhere in the centre of Norwich later this year. At the moment, I am saving heavily so hopefully, that will pay off in a few months. I can’t wait to decorate somewhere new and have our own space together.

Donate blood

This was on my list of goals for 2019 and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do this as they couldn’t find my veins. However, the nurse told me to book an appointment later on in the day so I can have a chance to eat and drink more and then I should be able to donate. I have always wanted to donate blood as I think it is super important.

Blog More

Last year I didn’t put as much time into my blog as I would have liked to. I got distracted and lost motivation so this year I am going to make more of an effort to post and get those creative juices flowing. I won’t be too hard on myself if I don’t keep to a schedule but I would like to blog more and also share more on social media.

I hope you all have a fantastic year. What are your goals for 2020?

  1. Relinquishing overthinking is such a gift to yourself, it’s a labour of love but I hope you’re able to accomplish it! And donating blood is such a remarkable gift to others – a very nice balance! Happy new year to you!

  5. I hope you achieve all of your goals! I have a similar goal to become fitter. I gained weight and I feel much more lazier than before. I would love to get out of this rut and feel much more healthier for sure.
