My Beauty Faves

Hi, everyone! As it gets into the colder months, I do get more into makeup so I have been trying out some new products lately. I love doing my makeup, it is one of my favourite parts of the day and I love trying out different products.

I recently wrote a blog post about this but one of my current favourite eyeshadow palettes is the new Beauty Bay Origin palette. This palette has 42 shades in it and it only costs £25!!! I love neutral colours and warm-toned eyeshadow so I adore this palette and I also think it is perfect for autumn. I won’t go on too much about this but if you’d like to know more about this palette, click here to read my blog post all about it. My favourite thing about this palette is that the colours are grouped together in columns so if you’re lacking inspiration you can follow the columns for an eye look.

This is something that I’ve had for a while but recently I have been loving it again. So lately I have been loving the Dandelion Twinkle highlighter from Benefit. If you’ve never heard of this before, it’s a gorgeous pink shimmered highlighter that looks gorgeous on lighter skin tones. It is quite subtle so I’m not too sure whether it would show up on darker skin tones but I’m sure it is worth a try. My favourite way to wear this highlighter is on top of a liquid highlighter for a really glowy look, it is perfect for every day. This highlighter is a bit pricey at £25 but I do really love how it looks on my skin and you get 3g of product so it will last a long time.

When I first tried the Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation, I have to admit that I wasn’t a huge fan. However, when I applied it with a beauty blender instead of a brush it applied so much better. When I used a brush, I found that it made my skin look quite dry and is clung to dry patches, however with a beauty blender, it looks a lot smoother and natural. If you haven’t tried this foundation yet, I’d recommend giving it a go, it’s only around £9 and comes in a lot of different shades.

So this is a skincare product rather than makeup but I use it every single day and it works wonders. A little while ago, my skin was having an absolute meltdown so I thought I’d try something new in my skincare. I had a look around M&S and found the Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm. I love that this is full of natural ingredients such as sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter, your skin feels so soft afterwards. I’ve never used a balm cleanser before but the way it works is you rub it onto dry skin in circular motions and it almost turns into an oil so it’s extremely moisturising and is great for melting away your makeup. You get 90ml of product so it lasts a very long time

Finally, here’s a mascara that I’m sure all beauty lovers have heard of and most have tried. I recently got the Too Faced Better than Sex waterproof mascara and it is honestly worth the hype. First of all, I can say that this mascara is probably the best waterproof mascara I have ever tried and could last through anything. Also, it makes your lashes look so thick all day long. I must admit that this mascara can be a little bit clumpy so it may not be to everyone’s taste but I certainly love it. The wand is in an hourglass shape so it really grips onto every lash, and I find that it lifts your lashes as well as adding volume – definitely worth a try.

So that’s all of my latest favourites, what are your current faves?

  2. I need to try the Dandelion Twinkle highlighter. I’m super pale and love a light pink shade. I also wear more makeup during the winter. I live in the desert, so summer heat and makeup don’t always go well together. Lol.
