December Makeup

I have actually bought quite a few new products this month so I thought I would share them with you. I absolutely love buying new makeup and I often have to hold myself back when I was YouTube videos or read blog posts about new makeup. Here are some of the items that I have purchased or have been gifted this month.

For those who know me, you’ll know that Benefit is one of my favourite makeup brands. Benefit is one of the first higher end brands that I ever tried and is probably the brand that made me fall in love with makeup. I always get my eyebrows waxed and tinted at the Benefit Brow Bar so why would I buy my eyebrow products from anywhere else? I have tried the majority of the Brow collection by Benefit but I keep going back to the Goof Proof Brow Pencil in shade 3 as I know that it works for me and always looks great. I love that the pencil is shaped like a raindrop so you can get a precise arch yet still get the colour pay off.

House of Fraser had 20% off a couple of weeks ago so I took advantage and also got the Dandelion Twinkle powder highlighter. I say I took advantage, my dad actually bought this for me (thanks, dad). I have wanted to try this since it came out so I was so excited to try it. I love using this every day as it is pretty subtle but you still have a noticeable glow on your cheeks. I love pairing this with the Dandelion blush from Benefit for a really glowing complexion.

As we were drawing closer to Christmas, I really wanted a nice dark lipstick to get me into the festive spirit. I had a browse around Superdrug and came across the L’Oreal Color Riche lipsticks. I am a huge fan of L’Oreal, including their lipsticks so when I saw their matte pigmented lipsticks, I had to try one. I got the shade 430 and this lipstick lasts ALL DAY. I was so shocked but in the best possible way because lipsticks that are darker shades tend to rub off easily but not this one. I also love how this lipstick doesn’t feel too drying so you can wear it all day without feeling like your lips are dying.

For those who regularly read my blog or follow me on Instagram, you will have seen that I recently bought the YSL Tatouage Couture lipstick and reviewed it last week. I am a huge fan of this lipstick, especially for everyday wear. I will admit that this was an expensive purchase and I wouldn’t usually spend that much on a lipstick but it’s nice to have that special item in your makeup bag. Feel free to check out my review for more information on this lipstick.

  5. These are really lovely products! I am not a huge fan of Benefit but I do like their boxes of powder. I also got a L’oreal lippy back in October! This month, I’ve only got a primer, because my makeup stash is quite big and I don’t really need anything new!
