I can’t believe it’s almost December already! This month has flown by but I don’t mind because that means it’s closer to Christmas. This month, I started working at Marks & Spencer in the lingerie department and I am actually enjoying it. This weekend we will be picking up a Christmas tree and enjoying the festivities. I love Christmas, it’s my favourite time of year. I can’t wait for the Christmas jumpers, films and decorations. Anyway, here are some of my favourites from November.
My first favourite is the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado by Kiehl’s. I use this to moisturise my under eyes to prevent wrinkles and to ensure that my eyes are hydrated. I like to apply this eye treatment before I put my makeup on, as I find that the green consistency helps conceal my dark circles and then I like to apply it once I have taken my makeup off to rehydrate my eyes. Kiehl’s is one of my favourite skincare brands and this product does not disappoint, the texture is so light and creamy and feels lovely to apply to your skin.
Earlier this month, I wrote a review of the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat foundation so I thought it would be fitting to include this in my monthly favourites. This isn’t the most full-coverage foundation I have worn but I like that and I love how radiant it makes your skin look. This foundation honestly looks like a second skin and leaves you looking flawless. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the packaging?
Some of you may have read my review of the Real Techniques PowderBleu Collection so it may come as no surprise that the B04 Shadow Brush is in my monthly favourites. I was lucky enough to be sent these brushes but honestly, this brush is the softest eyeshadow brush I have ever used and perfectly blends out your eyeshadow. I use this brush to set a base on my eyelids and to blend out for a flawless finish. I love all of these brushes and they are now a part of my daily makeup routine.
I like to read on my bus journey to work so I have started re-reading Bridget Jones’s Diary and it is so good. I have the 20th-anniversary edition with an introduction by Caitlin Moran. Who doesn’t love Bridget Jones? She’s so quintessentially British and I think we can all relate to aspects of her life. It’s a great book to get cosy with and one that you can read over and over again.
I heard a lot of people talking about The Sinner from Netflix on Twitter so I decided to give it a go and I finished it in a day. Jessica Biel is incredible on this show, I feel like I need more. The Sinner is an American crime drama that follows the events that happen after a young mother (Biel) kills a man on the beach and has no idea why. This series is so gripping and absolutely makes you want more, I cannot recommend it enough.
